A nurse for the Panhandle.
Twenty years of caring for our community. Now Lauren is ready to fight for it in Tallahassee.

Nurse. Neighbor. Fighter.
Meet Lauren

Care Is Her Career.
Now It Is Her Campaign.

Lauren Donahoo has spent twenty years in Florida health care, starting as a hospital phlebotomist in 2006 and working her way up to licensed practical nurse, unit manager, and public health professional. She earned her degrees right here in the Panhandle, at Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida, and holds a Florida practical nursing license.

When COVID hit, Lauren did not sit on the sidelines. She served as a contact tracer for the Santa Rosa County Department of Health, managed a COVID unit in a local nursing home, and worked on the COVID-19 vaccine rollout for the residents in her care. When Hurricane Irma threatened nursing home residents, she helped evacuate those with special needs and draft the plan for inspecting facilities after the storm.

Today Lauren works on the front lines of the addiction crisis as a nurse in a medication-assisted treatment program in the Panhandle, helping her neighbors fight their way back to healthy lives. She lives in Milton with her family.

Why she is running

Lauren's Priorities

01

Health Care That Works

Lauren has seen what happens when families cannot afford care or find a doctor. She will fight to expand access, lower costs, and protect rural hospitals and nursing homes so Panhandle families can get care close to home.

02

Mental Health and Recovery

As a nurse in an addiction treatment program, Lauren works with people fighting for their lives every single day. She will bring that front line experience to Tallahassee to strengthen mental health services and recovery programs.

03

Ready for the Storm

From Hurricane Irma evacuations to the COVID response, Lauren has served through our toughest emergencies. She will make sure our communities have the public health and disaster readiness they deserve.

04

Working Families First

Lauren knows what it means to work weekends, stay on call, and put patients first. She will stand up for the nurses, teachers, first responders, and working families who keep the Panhandle running.
